AQUATICS

Adult Swim Lessons
This class is designed for beginner and intermediate levels. Class skills emphasize stroke development and endurance.
No previous swimming experience is necessary. Click here

Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are available in a package of five 30-minute lessons. Fee: $110 Members / $220 Community for five lessons. Call 797-3945 ext 256 to schedule.

Lifeguard Class
American Lifeguard Training Course will teach the students responsibility, decision making, first aid, safety, CPR and rescue skills. Requirements are they must be 15 years old before the final session and pass a test consisting of swimming 300 yards plus retrieving a 10 pound brick in the deep end. After successfully completing the course, students will receive a three-year Lifeguard/First Aid certification and a one-year CPR/AED for Lifeguards certification. WIMPS
The Western Illinois Masters Program Swimmers Club is for adults (19 and over) of all levels for the purpose of training, competition, fitness and the enjoyment of swimming. No charge for YMCA members to participate! Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

TRI-SWIM

AQUATIC WELLNESS

Join our nationally recognized water fitness team for fun and exercise in the pools. Water exercise reduces stress on the joints, strengthens and tones muscles, reduces muscle soreness, enhances circulation, and promotes flexibility. Swimming skills are not required. Classes are open to adults and youth ages 14 and up. Flotation belts for deep water classes may be purchased at the North Entrance.

Multiple Sclerosis Aquatic Exercise
This water exercise class was developed by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of participants. Trained instructors lead activities designed to maximize muscle strength and endurance, reduce spasticity, improve flexibility, prevent muscle atrophy, aid weight control and provide a positive social experience. Participants in need of assistance dressing, transferring to the lift, or in the pool should bring their own helper (no fee for helper). Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

Fibromyalgia Aquatic Exercise
A deep-water exercise class for persons with Fibromyalgia. Gentle flexibility and strength exercises are done along with low intensity aerobic intervals. Participants must be comfortable in deep water and provide their own flotation belt. Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

Slow & Easy (Arthritis Foundation Program)
Low-impact exercises designed for people with limited cardio-respiratory function, joint motion or strength. Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

Ai Chi
The focus is on spirit, mind and body with flowing exercise and relaxation, Ai Chi uses a combination of deep breathing and slow, broad movements of arms, legs, and torso. The results are improved range of motion and overall mobility, increased metabolism and caloric consumption, deep relaxation and decreased stress and insomnia. Yoqua
Submerge yourself in the comfort of the warm pool and experience the integration of water with the ancient science of yoga. Modified dynamic and static yoga postures in the pool enhance balance, structural alignment, and muscle flexibility. Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

Deep Water Exercise
A no-impact workout in deep water using flotation belts and other equipment. This balanced workout includes warm-up, aerobic, cool-down, strength and toning, and flexibility stretching. High-Energy Water Workout
This is a complete water fitness class using a variety of exercises and equipment. Activities include dance, calisthenics, walking and kicking. Intensity and impact can be varied on an individual basis. Each class consists of warm-up, aerobic, cool-down, muscle toning and flexibility segments. Water Walk
All fitness levels welcome! This is a no-bounce fitness class in shallow water for persons with limited joint motion or those who can’t tolerate impact. Exercises improve flexibility, strength, endurance and cardiorespiratory function. Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

Aqua Boot Camp
Challenge yourself with a tough aquatic workout of cardio, strength and core training. Fast paced 30-minute class in the shallow end of the cool pool. Take the challenge! Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

SPORTS

Tae Kwon Do
A martial art that has no equal in the field for power or technique, it’s the “Art of Kicking and Punching.” The program offers self-confidence, self-discipline, self-defence and physical fitness for children and adults. Click here for Adult Aquatic and Sports Schedule

Recreational Volleyball
Open to all YMCA Members and guests. Players may drop in for games, but eight players must be present to close the gym.

Racquetball Leagues
League play is offered at every level: Open, A, B, C and Doubles. Twelve weeks beginning September 21st. The YMCA will create a schedule of opponents. Players will schedule their own matches each week.

Racquetball Open Play
Call the Reservation Hotline at 797-5950 for court reservations. Only YMCA members may reserve courts - one hour per day. Court reservations may be made up to seven days in advance. Cancellations must be made at least two hours before scheduled play. The YMCA reserves the right to reassign any unclaimed
court 5 minutes after reservation time.

Racquetball Clinics & Lessons
Beginner and Intermediate Clinics offered the first Tuesday evening of October, November, and December from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome. Must have a minimum of four participants per clinic.

Y Golf Development Center
Public Driving Range and First Tee Facility at 2110 53rd Street, Moline. A 10-Bucket Punch Pass is available at the Two Rivers YMCA front desk for $55 members, $75 community. Bring in 8 receipts and get a free large bucket of balls. Members receive $2 off stated bucket prices. Gift certificates available. Schedule: March 13-October 17

Golf Lessons and Club Fittings
Golf lessons are offered at the YMCA Golf Development Center through two certified instructors. Group and individual lessons are available. Lessons can be set up independently or as a package and can help you learn or enhance everything from short game to driving and putting. Instructors use the latest technology to analyze your swing. WELLNESS

Take the “FirStep” to better health!
Our FREE 10-week FirStep Wellness Program will get you started on your way to a healthier lifestyle. You will meet with a Wellness Coach to discuss important aspects of your lifestyle, daily schedule and fitness goals. Your coach will help you to determine which of the FirStep Wellness Program tracks (listed below) is best for you, and will assist you throughout the program to help you achieve your goals. The FirStep Wellness Program is free with your annual YMCA membership.

FirStep Track 1: Recommended for the soon-to-be-exerciser who needs a thorough review of fitness and wants a coach for direction and motivation. You will gain knowledge about how food fuels the body and how exercise affects metabolic rate. Program includes an initial orientation meeting and three follow-up meetings with a Wellness Coach over the 10-week period. You will receive ongoing support and communication from your Wellness Coach.

FirStep Track 2: Great for those who don’t desire as much coaching but would like help in starting a simple program on easy to use equipment. Includes an initial orientation meeting and one follow-up meeting with a Wellness Coach over a 10-week period. You will receive ongoing support and communication from your Wellness Coach.

FasTrack Orientation: This track is for individuals who are comfortable with a fitness facility, but need to learn how to use the Y’s equipment. Includes an initial 90-minute meeting with your Wellness Coach with ongoing communication.

Personal Training
Set goals, achieve goals! Whether you are looking for extra guidance and safety to begin a program or you need the extra challenge to get the results you want, a YMCA personal trainer is the way to go! We also offer small group training, ask for details.
Personal Training Fee:
1 session: 30 minutes $30 - 60 minutes $ 50

Unlimited Cycling!

Beginning Cycling
Sixty minutes of cycling too intimidating? Build your cycling confidence and endurance with these 45-minute classes. Classes will teach personal bike set-up, form and technique instruction, and include longer lead-ins and build-ups to various challenges. And did we mention the great music? New You 2010
You’ve seen the info-mercials and maybe even bought the DVD’s. But workouts at home start strong and fizzle fast. That’s why we’ve created the New You 2010 program. An instructor/trainer will lead short, intensive and effective workouts, OurDietitian will provide you with nutritional advice and information throughout the 7 week session. Les Mills BodyFlow®
BodyFlow® is the Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength, leaving you feeling centered and calm. Belly Dancing

Pilates

30-Minute Interval Cardio
Experience the program that allows you to increase lean muscle and lose weight in the least amount of time. Why spend hours doing cardio when Interval Training can blast the time in half and give you great results. FREE CLASSES for MEMBERS

Body Sculpt

Studio Pump
This is a barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Circuit Training

Wellness Punch Pass
Drop-in punch pass lets you take land wellness classes without signing up for an entire session. Availability
of classes subject to number of persons pre-registered. Punch pass may not be used for Hatha Yoga. Ten-punch card is $20 Members / $60 Community and is valid for 60 days from date of purchase.

Running Clinics
Have you ever wondered if your running form was efficient? Could you use some tips on how to shave off a few seconds or minutes on your times? Join us for a running clinic where Adam Rodriguez, former collegiate runner for Monmouth College, will talk about basic running mechanics, interval training, tempo running, and simple drills that will take your training to the next level. For ages 19 and older.

Body Composition Analysis
Have your body composition tested with our new state-of-the-art analyzer. Within minutes you will receive a print out with your percent body fat, lean body weight and fat weight. This analysis is easy, non-invasive and informative. By appointment only.

Massage Therapy
Book an appointment with Keith Wells for Swedish massage, sports massage, Reflexology or seated chair massage (seated chair massage $1/minute). Call 797-3945, extension 240 to schedule an appointment.

YMCA Physical Fitness Assessments
Your heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, cardio-vascular fitness, muscular strength, endurance and flexibility levels will be assessed by a certified Fitness Specialist. A complete Physical Fitness Evaluation Profile and Body Composition Profile are provided upon completion. By appointment only. Fee: $30 Members / $90 Community

MobileFit Nutrition Systems

SilverSneakers 1 (MSROM)
MSROM (muscular strength, range of motion) offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially oriented programming.
