Two Rivers YMCA Aquatics programs utilize two pools to serve swim lessons, exercise classes, therapy and reacreational uses. Certified lifeguards monitor pool use and enforce safety policies at all times.
YMCA’s are the innovator of group swim lessons and have been teaching people to swim for over 100 years! Youth swim lessons are progressive and teach skills in stroke development, safety, rescue, water sports and personal growth. All YMCA youth programs instill
the character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Lesson groups are determined by the swimmer’s current ability. Free swimming evaluations are available – make an appointment by calling 797-3945, ext. 256. Private swim lessons for youth and adults are also available. See our program guide for current lesson offerings.
Water exercise reduces stress on joints, strengthens and tones muscles, reduces muscle soreness, enhances circulation and promotes flexibility. Swimming skills are not required! Our aquatic department offers classes especially for those with arthritis, multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia. Other water exercise classes offer low-impact workouts with adjustable intensity levels for various fitness levels. See our program guide for current lesson offerings.
