Two Rivers YMCA's Annual Campaign
When you give a gift, you are supporting Y programs focus on; Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsiblity.
The YMCA is available for for everyone, regardless of income, race, age or religion through the scholarship program; the Y turns no one away due to the inability to pay. The Y's Annual Community Support Campaign, with the help of community volunteers, helps to raise community awareness of the Y's impact in our community and gain support so all kids, families, adults and seniors can be part of Y programs programs, classes and activities and reach their God-given potential.
In 2011, Gifts to the Community Support Campaign helped:
6,710 kids gain character and self-esteem and improve their healthy by being in Y programs
1094 kids' parents have the ability to continue to work or go to school to improve their lives while their child is learning character development, life skills and having active fun in the Y's Before & After school care programs in 24 grade school sites in the Illinois Quad Cities
493 children learned the core values, explored new adventures and made new friends by being in the Y's Summer Day Camps all summer long.
148 at-risk kids are on the right track to be healthy, happy and gaining life skills so they can be successful in school and at home because of being in Y Programs.
1,525 kids learned skills, sportsmanship and teamwork through character development by being in Y Sports programs
Thousands of seniors', adults' and kids' health and well-being have been improved by being part of the Y programs
Thousands of families are spending time together and fostering connections through fitness, sports, and shared interests
Hundreds of kids, families, adults and seniors in-need received fee assistance and have the opportunity to be a part of Y programs. The Y is for EVERYONE!
When you support Y programs, you are supporting your neighbor, friend, child, senior or family in-need.

Now, more than ever, the YMCA plays an important role in our community. Thanks to community support, we are able to provide a facility and Y programs that are "Strengthening the Foundations of YOUR Community everyday!

- Modern Woodman - $2,500.00 - Supporting families and kids in Y's School-Age Care so parents can continue to work or go to school to improve their lives while their child is developing social skills, engaging in physical activity and achieving academic success - all within a safe and nuturing environment. (in 24 grades school sites (Moline, Coal Valley, East Moline, Silvis, Hampton, Rock Island, Milan)

- Rock Island Optimist Club - 250.00
- supporting at-risk kids in Y-Solutions programs at Rock Island High School, Edison Jr. High and Thurgood Marshall - Y program keeps kids in school; seniors credit the program as they graduate and go on to be productive adults
- Trinity Lutheran Church-Endowment - $2,000
- The Moline Foundation - $5,000
- New Boat docks at Sylvan Boathouse - a safe and secure ramp for community use for rowing, kayaking, and other water events and activities
- Trinity Regional Health Systems - $10,000 - Title Sponsor of Trinity Quad Cities Classic Regatta - supporting rowing programs and Regatta event that showcases the best rowing right here on the Mississippi River in October
- US Bank - $1,000 - Supporting Y Youth Character Development programs that build self-esteem and life-skills so kids can be successful in school, at home and in life.
- jcpenney,SouthPark Mall - $11,213.00 - through "pennies from heaven" promotion- shoppers round up to the nearest dollar in support of the Y's AfterSchool Programs in 24 grade school sites so all kids can be part of - gives so all kids can be part of character development
- ITT Exelis - $10,000 in support of Y Youth Sports Programs that teach kids sportsmanship, teamwork, character development and build self-esteem.
In 2012, we estimate that over $800,000 in subsidy will be needed to fund Y youth programs and the scholarship program. The YMCA depends on community support so we can keep programs affordable for all kids, families adults, and seniors. We want all kids to be in Y programs where they can have fun, they develop character and learn teamwork.
