Summer Camp
Registration for 2010 Summer Camps begins January 4, 2010.
Our YMCA Summer Camps provide worthwhile summertime activities for kids and peace of mind for parents who are concerned about what their children are doing with their time away from school.

YMCA Summer Camps feature fun new experiences and personal enrichment. Our camps are staffed with counselors who have
YMCA camp training and a genuine concern and love for children. Our camp will help children develop their creative abilities, make new friends, learn more about nature, be active, and above all - have fun! This is a camp kids will truly enjoy and is one of the top summer programs in the Quad Cities.

Small Wonders Camp (entering grades K-1st)
Fun and exciting adventures for all new campers! Our activities are developmentally appropriate and designed to introduce different kinds of experiences and challenges to our youngest campers. We provide a safe and caring environment with high expectations and provide opportunities to build self-esteem in each camper. Children will swim and go on one field trip each week during a great summer at the YMCA. Maximum of 125 campers with 1 counselor to 8 camper ratio.

Discovery Camp (entering grades 2nd-4th)
Explore and create during interesting daily activities at the YMCA and out in the Quad Cities community. Campers will be challenged with a variety of projects and discover new interests along the way! They will learn new ideas and experience fun-filled days. Children will swim and go on one field trip each week during a stimulating summer at the YMCA. Maximum of 125 campers with 1 counselor to 10 camper ratio.

Sports Camp (entering grades 2nd-4th)
Ready, set, go! Each week will have two or more sports the campers will learn skills, do drills and play throughout the summer. Our counselors will teach traditional sports with a few new international sports to keep the sports lovers on their toes. Of course there will be other opportunities to do all the regular camp activities to give these campers a little down time. Children will swim and go on one field trip each week during a physical summer at the YMCA. Maximum of 125 campers with 1 counselor to 10 camper ratio.

BTween Camp (entering grades 5th-6th)
Too big for our younger camps but not ready to hang with the teens? We understand this group is getting older and ready to take on responsibilities, but still likes to have the regular summer fun! We will offer a mix of more mature activities and allow time to still play games that they have learned over the years. The curriculum is designed to cover our core components, but offer a different approach to keep the days fresh and interesting for the campers. Youth will swim and go on two field trips each week. Maximum of 125 campers with 1 Counselor to 12 camper ratio.

Teen Adventure Camp (entering grades 7th-8th)
You don’t want to stay home when there is still fun at the YMCA! Campers will have the opportunity to give their input about the activities and daily routines during the summer. This is a camp designed to help youth get ready for employment and life skills that they will be facing in the next few years. We mix fun and facts to keep campers coming back for more. We also understand this group will need time to chill and be kids as much as our younger campers! Youth will swim and go on two field trips each week. Maximum of 50 campers with 1 Counselor to 15 camper ratio.

C.I.T. Program (entering grades 9th-10th)
Our Counselors in Training program will teach your young person how to work with kids in a summer camp setting. We train and prepare CIT’s to join our adult camp staff during YMCA summer programs to develop leadership and job skills.
